A Bit About Cin'

Cin' Von Quinzel is an afro Latina plus - sized cosplayer, self taught costume maker and alternative model based out of New York. Her creations span multiple fandom's including, comic books, anime, video games & more. With over 11 years of costuming experience and 7 years working in the professional convention environments. Social media marketing over multiple platforms and attending conventions to share her creations, costuming knowledge and speak about her experiences to make for a more inclusive and

positive spaces within the cosplay community.

Along with her costuming, Cin' takes pride in speaking about body positivity and diversity in the community. A proud plus sized, afro latina, pan sexual woman who wants to teach others about the importance of diversity and acceptance. At the end of the day, Cin' wants to encourage others to pursue there goals in life.

Blerdcon Panelist
Washington, DC. 2024 & 2025

For Blerdcon 2024 & 2025 I presented Fullmetal Foamsmith along side Vanta Creates and Foxtails. This is an educational armor building panel where we share all of our tips & tricks, plus  trail and error throughout our experiences with the attendees. This was 50 minutes long, we spoke about all the tools needed to begin your armor making journey. How to create your own patterns and how to properly use EVA Foams and thermoplastics. Our goal being to teach and expand the armor building community. 

Plus Ultra Entertainments Villian's Ball
Washington, DC. May, 2023

I was a featured Cosplay Villain for Plus Ultra Entertainments Villains Ball. My duties began weeks before the event, with requirements to build a new ball worthy cosplay, sharing the build & progress online, plus posting promotional materials on all social medias. I created both cosplay and make-up tutorials, behind the scenes and vlog content of my experience for the company to use as promotion for the event. At the event I was to mingle with guests and judge the villain cosplay contest. 

The CosGala High Fantasy
Baltimore, MD. September, 2024

For the Cosgala High Fantasy I was a cosplay guest & contest judge. My responsibilities included creating a custom cosplay gown for the event. Promoting the event on social media for months with progress photographs, unboxing videos and more. While at the event I was to mingle with guests, keep energy high plus participate in interviews and other promotional materials.
Lastly I judge the cosplay contest based on craftsmanship, quality, accuracy and other criteria.

Fan Expo Philadelphia
Philadelphia, PA. April, 2022

I worked with Fan Expo coordinators and fellow cosplayers over the 3-day weekend as a cosplay guest and panelist. My 3 panels included "building your own supersuit" & and multiple armor panels. Preparation took days before the convention, including but not limited to creating a new cosplay , building power point presentations, and presenting them both solo and in groups with fellow cosplayers. Promotion both before and during the convention, including "get ready with me" and vlogs of my day.

Cosplay World 
Richmond, VA August, 2023

I participated as a cosplay guest and panelist for the Cosplay World Richmond convention. Responsible for presenting my  "Building your own super suit" panel, where I teach others how to begin creating spandex costumes. Showing powerpoint examples and recommendations for fabrics, sewing machines and notations from my over 10 years of experience. I also participated in meet & greets at my booth. Where I would meet fans and con goers while presenting and selling my handmade costume crafts.

Piscataway Library Virtual Webinar October, 2022

I was a speaker panelist for "Mind the gender gap: A panel discussion on woman in fandom". Discussing with 6 of woman our fandoms, passions for them and how they can become more inclusive for all. How many fandoms have grown with representations in the last decade, what we would like to see more of, and even discussing the mistakes that have been made and where the fandom can learn and grow from them.
